The rap beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar continues to be a hot topic, and now it’s spilling over into the world of fan accounts. X (formerly Twitter) has rolled out a new feature revealing account locations, and it’s already causing quite a stir. Drake himself has seemingly weighed in by liking an Instagram post that exposed a Kendrick Lamar fan account for being based in India.

The drama unfolded when Drake’s fan page, @keep6ixsolid, shared a screenshot revealing that the account @hiiipowers, a prominent Kendrick Lamar fan page that claimed to be run by a Black man from Compton, was actually based in India. This account had previously been known for denying Drake’s Blackness, making the revelation even more pointed.

The @hiiipowers account has since released a statement acknowledging their location in India, explaining they started the account years ago before the current beef escalated. They also expressed frustration with X’s new feature, suggesting it’s designed to drive engagement through controversy.

  • Uber Drivers Can Now Earn Via “Digital Tasks”

Looking for ways to boost your income, even when you’re not on the road? Uber is piloting a new initiative called “digital tasks” that allows drivers and couriers to earn extra money by completing simple tasks directly within the Uber app. This innovative program aims to provide more earning opportunities for its platform workers.

    Earning Beyond the Ride

The “digital tasks” program, first launched in small cities across India, involves completing quick, straightforward jobs. These can include tasks like uploading documents, responding to inquiries in their native languages, or even sorting through shopping invoices. The idea stems from direct feedback from drivers who expressed a desire for more ways to earn, regardless of whether they are actively taking trips or making deliveries.

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi announced the new program during the Only on Uber 2025 conference. He, along with Chief Product Officer Sachin Kansal, emphasized that the company is listening to its drivers’ needs. “We want to make sure that you have as many earning opportunities on our platform as possible, suitable to your situation and your requirements,” Kansal stated.

    Leveraging AI and Driver Feedback

This initiative is also closely tied to Uber AI Solutions, which is using drivers to help train and refine artificial intelligence models. These tasks, such as data labeling, text classification, and object counting, are crucial for AI development. Previously, such tasks were often outsourced to independent contractors outside the app.

Megha Yethadka, global head of Uber AI Solutions, explained that the pilot program in India allows drivers to “boost their earnings by completing digital tasks.” These tasks are designed to be quick, often taking only a few minutes, with the promise of a wider variety of opportunities becoming available over time based on client needs.

Following its initial rollout in India, Uber plans to expand the “digital tasks” program to other markets, including the U.S., before the end of the year. This move signifies Uber’s commitment to diversifying earning potential for its drivers and leveraging its vast network for new technological applications.

  • Top 10 Most Dangerous Countries for Selfies

In today’s social media-driven world, the quest for the perfect selfie often leads people to take extreme risks. A recent global study has identified the countries where this pursuit is most perilous, highlighting a concerning trend of prioritizing online validation over personal safety.

India Leads the List of Selfie-Related Dangers

According to a study by The Barber Law Firm, published in the New York Post, India ranks as the most dangerous country for selfie-taking. The country accounts for over 42% of all selfie-related incidents globally, with 271 reported casualties, including 214 deaths. Factors contributing to this high number include India’s dense population, easy access to hazardous locations like cliffs and railway tracks, and a strong social media culture that encourages daring content.

The United States follows at number two, though with significantly fewer incidents. The study reported 45 dangerous selfies in the U.S., resulting in 37 deaths and eight injuries. Many of these occurred in national parks and high-altitude landmarks, where individuals attempt risky poses for a striking photo.

Global Trends in Risky Selfie Behavior

Russia ranks third with 19 incidents, often involving extreme environments like skyscrapers and speeding trains. Pakistan reported 16 fatal selfie-related incidents, placing it fourth, while Australia came in fifth with 15 incidents, frequently involving tourists in dangerous scenic spots like cliffs and coastal edges. The top 10 also includes Indonesia (14 incidents), Kenya, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Brazil (each with 13 casualties).

Globally, falling from heights is the most common cause of selfie-related deaths, accounting for 46% of all incidents. The desire to go viral and gain social media validation often overrides common sense, pushing individuals into dangerous situations.

Prioritizing Safety Over Social Media Validation

Kris Barber, Founder and Principal Attorney of The Barber Law Firm, warns about the trend: “Our research highlights a troubling trend where the pursuit of social media validation is literally costing lives. The perfect photo simply isn’t worth the danger.” He emphasizes that most of these tragedies could be avoided by simply taking a few steps back or finding a safer vantage point.
