It was supposed to be a fun Halloween bash, but things took a nasty turn when rapper GloRilla was performing at a private party hosted by Jamie Foxx and his daughter. The event, called SKVLK Fest, was for attendees aged 14-22, but unfortunately, one young partygoer decided to ruin the vibe by throwing a bottle at the stage, hitting GloRilla.
An Outrageous Act and a Swift Defense
GloRilla, understandably furious, was heard on video telling the individual, “I don’t care how young you is, you can get your a*s beat.” The Memphis native was clearly upset by the disrespectful and dangerous act. Adding to the drama, Jamie Foxx himself rushed to her defense, expressing his own outrage.
Caught on video, Foxx could be heard exclaiming, “Who did it? Why would you do some sh*t like that, goofy a*s n****? Why? Goddamn.” He continued, “Why would you throw something at the stage, man? This is for free. Man, y’all don’t deserve this sh*t, bro. That’s fucked up, bro. Man, I’m so disappointed … I love y’all but hate whoever the f*ck that was. F*cked the party up.”
Party Continues Despite Threat
Foxx even considered canceling the rest of the party, threatening, “You throw some sh*t, and you throw some sh*t in my house? In my crib? Nah, man, that ain’t cool though. That’s not cool, bro. Should we just pull the plug?” Fortunately, for the majority of the attendees who were behaving, the show went on.
GloRilla, after the incident, returned to the stage to finish her set, performing hits like “TGIF” and “Yeah Glo!” Other performers at the event included Leon Thomas, Tyga, and YK Osiris. The party continued, but the unsettling incident served as a stark reminder of the challenges performers face.
A Bright Spot in GloRilla’s Life
Despite the negative experience at the party, GloRilla has positive things happening in her personal life. She is currently dating NBA star Brandon Ingram, with their romance going public in late July and becoming Instagram official in September. This relationship adds a bright spot amidst the challenges she sometimes faces in her career.
