  • EBK Jaaybo Faces 30 Years Over New Gun Charge

It’s a tough time for rapper EBK Jaaybo. Already facing legal battles, he’s now been hit with new charges that could land him behind bars for over three decades. Authorities believe they’ve linked him to the firearm used in a shooting that occurred last March in Oakland.

The Shooting and the Alleged Connection

The incident in question involved DreamLlife Rizzy, who was shot in both legs on Highway 24 in Oakland in March 2025. Rizzy managed to drive himself to a hospital and, despite his injuries, denied knowing who was responsible before being released. Now, reports suggest that EBK Jaaybo may be connected to the weapon used in that shooting.

This new development stems from a previous arrest in 2025 during a traffic stop. At that time, officers found marijuana, pills, $8,000 in cash, and a machine-gun-converted Glock in the vehicle. Jaaybo was charged with several offenses, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a machine gun in furtherance of drug trafficking.

    Facing Decades Behind Bars

While EBK Jaaybo pleaded not guilty to the initial charges in June, the recent allegations add a serious layer to his legal troubles. If convicted of these new charges, which connect him to the gun used in DreamLlife Rizzy’s shooting, he could be sentenced to more than 30 years in prison. As of now, his legal team has not publicly commented on this latest update.

Music Career Continues Amidst Legal Battles

Despite these significant legal challenges, EBK Jaaybo has been working to keep his music career going. He was notably part of the 2025 XXL Freshman Class, a prestigious list featuring emerging hip-hop artists. Even though he was arrested on his way to the Freshman Class photoshoot, he still managed to deliver his freestyle while in custody.

Since then, he’s released several singles, including “Fly Swatter,” “Load Em Up,” and “5K,” demonstrating his commitment to his craft. He also dropped a full-length album last May titled “Don’t Trust Me,” featuring collaborations with other artists. His continued output suggests he’s determined not to let his legal issues silence his music.
