  • Skims Shipment Linked to Cocaine Bust

In a surprising turn of events, a shipment containing products from Kim Kardashian’s popular shapewear brand, Skims, became entangled in a major international drug trafficking case. Authorities in the United Kingdom recently uncovered millions of dollars worth of cocaine concealed within a cargo trailer carrying Skims merchandise.

Discovery at the Port of Harwich

The operation came to light during a routine inspection at the Port of Harwich in Essex, England. Border Force officers stopped a truck that had arrived from the Netherlands in September 2025. Inside the vehicle, they found 28 pallets filled with legitimate Skims underwear and apparel.

However, investigators soon grew suspicious. X-ray scans revealed unusual structural anomalies in the rear doors of the trailer. A more thorough search uncovered a hidden compartment packed with 90 individually wrapped bundles of cocaine, each weighing approximately two pounds. The estimated street value of these drugs was a staggering 7.2 million euros, or about $8.4 million USD.

    Driver Convicted, Skims Denies Involvement

The driver of the truck, identified as 40-year-old Jakub Jan Konkel from Poland, was later convicted in connection with the smuggling scheme. Prosecutors presented GPS and travel data showing an undocumented 16-minute stop during the journey, which they argued was crucial for loading the drugs. Authorities believe an organized trafficking network used this brief stop to insert the cocaine into the trailer.

Konkel initially denied involvement but eventually admitted to agreeing to transport the narcotics for a payment of 4,500 euros. He was sentenced to 13 years and six months in prison by a judge at Chelmsford Crown Court.

    Skims Issues Statement

In response to the news, Skims released a statement to USA Today, emphasizing their complete lack of knowledge or involvement in the criminal activity. “SKIMS is aware of the recent news involving a shipment with our products,” the statement read. “We want to be absolutely clear: SKIMS had no knowledge whatsoever about this criminal activity. We had no connection to the smuggling operation, the driver, or the truck.”

  • Dwight Howard’s Daughter Seeks to Live With Mom

The personal life of former NBA star Dwight Howard is under scrutiny as his 15-year-old daughter, Layla, has taken steps to live with her mother. Layla has petitioned the court, citing claims that her father’s alleged drug use has created an “unsafe” living environment.

Daughter’s Plea for Safety and Support

Layla’s mother, Tiffany Render, shared a detailed account on Instagram, describing her daughter’s emotional distress and feelings of neglect. Render claims that when Layla confided in school counselors and coaches about her sadness and loneliness at her original high school, her father immediately removed her from the school and changed her phone number. Furthermore, she alleges that her father pulled Layla from her volleyball and basketball teams after she spoke to her sports coaches.

Render stated, “When a child cries out for help, they deserve to be protected, not dismissed & hidden.” She believes her daughter’s actions were a result of reaching a “breaking point” and that a recent photo shared by Howard was a calculated attempt to create a “false and fake happy family narrative.”

    Echoes of Previous Allegations

Render’s claims echo those made by Howard’s estranged wife, Amy Luciani, who previously alleged that his behavior led to Child Protective Services involvement. Luciani also accused Howard of being manipulative and using his resources to silence those he has allegedly harmed. Howard has denied these allegations, including claims of drug use.

Royce Reed, another former partner of Howard’s, has also spoken out, expressing vindication after years of criticizing his behavior. Reed publicly addressed Luciani’s claims, questioning her narrative and emphasizing that the focus should always be on the well-being of the children.

A Mother’s Fight for Her Child

Render shared a signed affidavit from the Superior Court of Gwinnet County, where Layla formally requested to be placed in her mother’s care. Render expressed gratitude to Amy Luciani for speaking out and echoed sentiments that Howard’s wealth and connections have allegedly shielded him from consequences. She also mentioned in comments that her daughter is reportedly still not back in her custody following CPS involvement.

  • 6ix9ine’s Controversial Joke About Demi Lovato

Tekashi 6ix9ine, known for his provocative style, is once again making headlines for controversial comments. During a recent interview on social media personality Andie Elle’s YouTube channel, 6ix9ine made a joke suggesting that pop singer Demi Lovato would inevitably relapse on drugs. He even went as far as to say he would supply her with cocaine.

    A Joke or Cruel Insensitivity?

The rapper claims his intention was to make a “darkly comedic joke” about childhood TV stars struggling with addiction. However, the comments were met with significant backlash. Lovato has been very open about her past struggles with hard drugs, including a near-fatal overdose in 2018 that ended six years of sobriety. While she has been clean since 2021, 6ix9ine’s remarks trivialized her journey and recovery.

Following the criticism, 6ix9ine defended his statement by saying, “dark humor is going extinct” and that “people in this new generation are just overly sensitive.” Lovato and her team were reportedly contacted for comment, but had not responded at the time of reporting.

    6ix9ine’s Legal Troubles Continue

In other news concerning Tekashi 6ix9ine, he is currently seeking house arrest as an alternative to prison time. He is facing potential jail time due to multiple probation violations stemming from his 2019 racketeering case. His attorney, Lance Lazzaro, argued that a prison sentence would be “much more severe, difficult, and even dangerous” for the rapper due to his celebrity status and reputation.

  • DEA Operation Nets 617 Arrests in Sinaloa Cartel Takedown

In a major victory against international drug trafficking, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has executed a massive, coordinated operation targeting the notorious Sinaloa Cartel. This unprecedented five-day action, spanning multiple continents, has resulted in hundreds of arrests and the seizure of vast quantities of deadly narcotics, marking a significant blow to one of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations.

    Global Takedown: 617 Individuals Detained

From August 25th to August 29th, federal agents conducted simultaneous raids and arrests across 23 domestic field divisions and seven international regions. This extensive operation led to the detention of 617 individuals linked to the Sinaloa Cartel’s operations. The scale of the arrests highlights the cartel’s vast global reach and the extensive planning required for such a coordinated law enforcement response.

The individuals arrested range from street-level distributors to higher-ranking operatives responsible for coordinating international drug shipments. Each arrest disrupts the cartel’s capacity to distribute dangerous substances and move forward with its illicit activities.

Massive Drug Seizures to Save Lives

Beyond the arrests, the operation yielded an astonishing quantity of illegal drugs destined for American communities. Authorities seized 480 kilograms of fentanyl powder, a synthetic opioid known for its extreme potency. Additionally, agents confiscated 714,707 counterfeit pills containing fentanyl, along with 2,209 kilograms of methamphetamine and 7,469 kilograms of cocaine. These seizures represent millions of doses that will never reach the streets, potentially saving countless lives and mitigating the ongoing addiction crisis.

    Weapons and Financial Assets Confiscated

The operation also targeted the cartel’s violent infrastructure and financial resources. Agents seized 420 firearms, removing dangerous weapons from criminal hands and weakening the cartel’s capacity for violence. Furthermore, nearly $13 million in currency and assets, including cash, real estate, and vehicles, were confiscated. These financial seizures strike at the heart of the cartel’s ability to fund its operations and fuel corruption.

The Cartel’s Resilience and Global Network

Despite this significant success, law enforcement officials acknowledge the immense challenge posed by the Sinaloa Cartel’s vast network. The organization is estimated to have tens of thousands of members and associates operating in at least 40 countries. Its decentralized structure and sophisticated international operations, including production facilities and distribution networks, make it highly resilient to disruption.

    Terrorist Organization Designation

This operation follows the Trump administration’s designation of the Sinaloa Cartel as a foreign terrorist organization in February. This classification provides enhanced legal tools for prosecution and asset forfeiture, recognizing the cartel’s profound impact on national security and public safety through violence and intimidation.

    Ongoing Enforcement Efforts

Federal agents emphasize that efforts to combat the Sinaloa Cartel are a year-round commitment. The recent five-day operation represents an intensification of ongoing investigative work, which includes surveillance, undercover operations, financial investigations, and international cooperation. These sustained efforts are crucial in gradually weakening the cartel’s operations and dismantling its global network.

  • Jax Taylor on Cocaine & Alcohol Addiction

It takes a lot of courage to open up about personal struggles, and Bravo star Jax Taylor is doing just that. He’s recently detailed his battle with both cocaine and alcohol addiction, sharing a candid perspective on why he turned to substances despite not enjoying the experience itself.

    The Driving Force Behind Addiction

On his podcast, ‘In The Mind Of Jax Taylor,’ the star of ‘The Valley’ revealed that trauma and mental health issues were the primary drivers for his addiction. He emphasized that for him, it wasn’t about pleasure but about coping with difficult emotions and memories.

Taylor stated, “Trauma and mental health issues are the drive for addiction, and I think that’s 100% [true] for me.” He went on to explain his aversion to the physical sensations of his substance use, noting, “I do not like the taste of alcohol. I do not like snorting f–king s–t up my nose. It’s not fun. It doesn’t taste good. It doesn’t feel good.”

    Coping Mechanisms and Escapism

Despite the unpleasantness, Taylor admitted that these substances provided a temporary escape from his personal struggles. He used them as a way to avoid thinking about his marriage, past traumas, and his relationship with his father.

“But these things make me feel better in the moment, so I don’t have to think about my marriage. So I don’t have to think about the trauma … I don’t think about my father,” he explained. He reiterated his dislike for the physical effects, saying, “It sucked but this is the only thing I could do to make me feel good.”

    Rehab and Relapse

While viewers saw Taylor enter and leave rehab during the second season of ‘The Valley,’ he confessed that he quickly fell back into old habits. This cycle of seeking help and then relapsing is a common, though difficult, part of the recovery journey for many.

Following concerning behavior directed at his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, Taylor made the decision to step away from filming for the upcoming third season of ‘Vanderpump Rules.’ This move signifies a commitment to focusing on his personal well-being and recovery away from the pressures of reality television.
