Could fans be seeing NeNe Leakes back on their screens soon? According to Bravo’s top boss, Frances Berwick, the possibility is very real. It seems the door is wide open for the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star to make a comeback, especially since she’s reportedly been in touch with Andy Cohen himself.
A Welcome Mat for NeNe?
During BravoCon 2025, Berwick, who oversees all unscripted content for Bravo, Peacock, and NBCUniversal, addressed the fan-favorite question about NeNe’s potential return. When asked by Variety if there was “ever a way back for NeNe,” Berwick confirmed, “Yes, she can be on a show again.” She even pointed out that Bravo has continued to work with Leakes on E! red carpet shows since her departure from RHOA.
This statement comes on the heels of Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen revealing that he and NeNe have been communicating via text in recent months. While it might seem like a small detail, this confirmation from Cohen sent ripples of hope through social media, fueling speculation about a possible return.
From Lawsuit to Open Dialogue
Leakes famously left #RHOA before Season 13 due to failed contract negotiations. She later filed a lawsuit against Bravo alleging racial discrimination and a hostile work environment, which was eventually settled out of court. Despite the past legal battles, it appears that bridges are being rebuilt.
NeNe herself has expressed openness to returning, provided the conditions are right and for the fans. She recently told BOSSIP that she and NBCUniversal have “cleared all of our disagreements” and have “sat at the same table and worked through these things.” She highlighted her continued work on NBCUniversal-owned red carpet events as proof that their relationship is amicable, stating, “NBC owns Bravo, and we are in an okay place. We are dating, so I think it’s slow, but so far, all is well.”
We’ve actually cleared all of our disagreements; we’ve actually sat at the same table and worked through these things. — NeNe Leakes
With both network executives and key figures like Andy Cohen signaling a willingness to have NeNe back, and NeNe herself expressing openness, the ball seems to be in the court of negotiations. Fans are eagerly watching to see if this potential comeback will materialize.
