Atlanta rapper B.o.B is finding himself in the middle of a serious legal battle. A new lawsuit has been filed against him, accusing him of sexual assault following an alleged incident in California earlier this year. However, the rapper and his legal team are strongly refuting these claims.
The Lawsuit’s Allegations
The complaint, filed on November 7th, states that the accuser met B.o.b (legal name Bobby Ray Simmons Jr.) after his performance at the Tequila & Taco Music Festival in San Diego back in April 2025. According to the lawsuit, she later attended an afterparty at a downtown hotel, where the alleged assault took place. The woman claims she was subjected to groping and unwanted touching before managing to escape.
She is now seeking damages for the alleged assault. This is a serious accusation, and the details presented in the filing paint a disturbing picture.
B.o.B’s Strong Denial
In a statement released to XXL Magazine, B.o.b’s attorney, Leron E. Rogers, vehemently denied all accusations. Rogers described the lawsuit as a “baseless ‘money grab’” and a “calculated attempt to leverage publicity and extract a financial settlement from a public figure.”
Rogers further alleged that the plaintiff’s account is a “fabricated narrative.” He suggested that she might be using Simmons as a scapegoat to explain her whereabouts to her husband on the date in question. The statement emphasized that fabricating such accusations is both irresponsible and harmful, undermining the pursuit of justice for genuine victims of sexual assault.
What Happens Next?
As of now, no court date has been set for the case. Representatives for the plaintiff have not yet publicly commented on the allegations or the strong denial from B.o.b’s legal team. Rogers stated that they will refrain from further comment out of respect for the individuals involved and the integrity of the legal process.
