  • Georgia Veteran Receives Mortgage-Free Home

Imagine serving your country, facing incredible challenges, and then coming home to the ultimate gift: a mortgage-free house. That dream just became a reality for U.S. Army Sgt. Aisha Hardemon, a Georgia veteran who was recently gifted a brand-new home in Henry County, a suburb of Atlanta. This heartwarming event marks a significant milestone for the PulteGroup’s ‘Built to Honor’ program.

A Milestone Home for a Dedicated Veteran

This isn’t just any home; it’s the 100th home gifted by the ‘Built to Honor’ program, which aims to provide mortgage-free homes to veterans across the United States. Sgt. Hardemon, who served six years in the Army and completed tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, was celebrated with a touching ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 5th. The event was filled with national pride, featuring a motorcycle brigade and dozens of American flags waving as she arrived in her new neighborhood.

The ceremony was attended by state officials, including Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, who recognized the profound honor. Overwhelmed with emotion, Sgt. Hardemon expressed her gratitude, first and foremost to God, for keeping her safe through her service and the challenges she faced, including losing fellow soldiers and enduring her own injuries.

A Legacy of Service and Gratitude

Sgt. Hardemon shared that her decision to join the military in 2007 was driven by bravery and a desire to follow in her grandfather’s footsteps. Her family’s dedication to service continues, with her own son now serving in the Marines. It’s this legacy of commitment that the PulteGroup sought to honor with their generous gift.

Ryan Marshall, CEO of PulteGroup, highlighted the core mission of the ‘Built to Honor’ program. He stated that the ability to give back to those who have defended the nation’s freedoms is what makes the program so special. This initiative truly embodies the spirit of gratitude and support for our veterans.

    More Than Just a House

Receiving a mortgage-free home is more than just a roof over one’s head; it’s a symbol of security, stability, and immense gratitude for sacrifices made. For Sgt. Aisha Hardemon, this new home in McDonough represents a new chapter, a place to build memories, and a tangible thank you for her years of dedicated service to the country.
