  • Keith Lee’s Emotional Thanksgiving: Brother’s First Holiday Home

This year’s Thanksgiving is extra special for beloved food influencer Keith Lee. He’s not just preparing his famous mac & cheese and greens; he’s getting ready to welcome a very important guest: his little brother, who is spending his first holiday at home after eight years behind bars.

    A Long-Awaited Reunion

In a heartwarming interview with People magazine, the 29-year-old internet personality shared his excitement about the upcoming holiday. He described his younger brother as his “best friend growing up” and expressed how much he felt a piece of their family was missing. Having him back at the table is incredibly significant for Lee.

The emotional reunion was captured on TikTok by Keith’s older brother, mixed martial artist Kevin Lee. The footage shows a joyful, playful moment as the brothers reconnect. Shortly after, Keith shared another TikTok video featuring his younger brother’s first meal request post-prison: Wingstop! The clip included reviews of different flavors and touching moments of the brothers reuniting with their parents.

Holiday Plans and Small Business Support

While Lee is partnering with American Express to promote Small Business Saturday on November 29th, his Thanksgiving celebration will be an “intimate” potluck. He’s taking charge of the mac & cheese and greens, but his brother’s culinary contribution remains a delightful mystery they’ll discover together. He hinted that it would definitely make an appearance on his TikTok!

This year’s holiday cooking lineup looks a little different as his wife, Ronnie, is taking a well-deserved break. She recently welcomed their third child, Kardigan Marcus, on September 24th. Lee humorously noted that her contribution this year is already covered: “She’s making milk for the baby… that’s what she’s bringing to the table.”

    Focus on Family and Community

Keith Lee’s story is a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and second chances. His excitement for his brother’s return and his dedication to supporting small businesses highlight his commitment to both personal connections and community upliftment. It’s clear this Thanksgiving will be filled with love, gratitude, and delicious food.

  • Funky Dineva Reveals Stage 1 Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

Pop culture critic and entertainer Quentin Latham, widely known as Funky Dineva, is facing a new health challenge. He recently took to Instagram to reveal that he has been diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer. Dineva emphasized that he’s sharing this news for educational purposes, not for sympathy.

    A Proactive Approach to Health

In a video shared with his 327,000 followers, Dineva detailed his experience. Doctors performed 12 biopsies, with two returning cancerous and one inconclusive. Thankfully, his Gleason score, which measures the aggressiveness of prostate cancer, was found to be “extremely” low. This indicates that the cancer was caught at its earliest possible stage.

When discussing treatment options with his doctor, which included radiation, experimental drugs, or robotic surgery, Dineva didn’t hesitate. He opted for surgery, stating, “my gut is telling me cut it out. I don’t want to do radiation.” He has an appointment scheduled for December 8th with the surgeon.

    Continuing His Passion Despite Diagnosis

Despite this significant health news, Dineva remains committed to his work and passions. He is still set to host a live session with singer K. Michelle and will host a supper club for her in Atlanta on December 7th, just one day before his surgery. This shows his dedication to his craft and his fans.

    Understanding Prostate Cancer Risks

Dineva’s diagnosis brings attention to the heightened risk of prostate cancer among Black men. According to ZeroCancer.org, one in six Black men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime. Notable Black men who have passed away from the disease include Michael Ray Richardson, O.J. Simpson, and Sidney Poitier.

More recently, actor James Pickens Jr. shared his own diagnosis, noting its hereditary nature within his family. Singer Montell Jordan also spoke about his experience after undergoing a radical prostatectomy, revealing that traces of cancer were still detected post-surgery, requiring further treatment. These stories underscore the importance of regular screenings and staying informed about personal and family health history.
