  • DJ Vlad Responds to Boosie Badazz Pay Dispute

It seems there’s been some public back-and-forth between DJ Vlad and Boosie Badazz regarding interview fees, and now DJ Vlad is setting the record straight. Earlier this week, Boosie announced he was parting ways with VladTV, citing a denied $5,000 raise as the reason.

    Boosie’s Side of the Story

Boosie Badazz took to a live stream to explain his decision, stating that he asked for a $5K increase in his interview fee and was denied. He expressed his belief that he could earn more by producing and editing his own interviews moving forward, telling followers, “He didn’t want to pay me.”

DJ Vlad’s Perspective on the Dispute

Now, DJ Vlad has shared his side in a new video, offering a different financial perspective. According to Vlad, Boosie was actually earning $25,000 per interview and had requested a $10,000 raise, bringing his fee to $35,000. Vlad explained that at that rate, the interviews would barely be profitable, and in some cases, could even result in a financial loss for VladTV.

“At the end of the day, I’m taking 100% of the risk,” Vlad stated. He emphasized that paying such a high fee would put him in a position where Boosie makes all the money, and Vlad makes none, which he described as not making any business sense.

    Mutual Respect Despite Disagreement

Despite the financial disagreement, it appears there’s no hard feelings between the two. Vlad mentioned in a follow-up video that he hopes to resolve the situation and continue doing interviews with the Louisiana-born artist in the future. He expressed his admiration for Boosie, stating, “I haven’t said one negative thing about this man. Not one. Boosie’s dope, man. I love Boosie.”

This situation highlights the complex business dynamics involved in content creation and celebrity interviews. While artists seek fair compensation, platform owners must also consider profitability and risk. It’s a delicate balance, and hopefully, Vlad and Boosie can find common ground.

  • Rory & Mal: Drake’s ‘ICEMAN’ Has His Best Rapping

Drake fans, get ready! While the official release date for his new album, ‘ICEMAN,’ remains a mystery, the buzz is building. On the latest episode of the ‘New Rory & Mal’ podcast, hosts Rory and Mal shared some exciting insights, with Mal claiming the project will feature some of Drake’s absolute best rapping to date.

    Mal Praises Drake’s ‘ICEMAN’ Bars

Drake hasn’t released a solo album since ‘For All The Dogs’ in 2023, so anticipation for ‘ICEMAN’ is high. Mal, speaking on the podcast, didn’t hold back his praise. “Let me say this: This is some of the best raps I’ve ever heard from Drake,” he remarked. “Just rapping. This is some of the best bars, best rapping that I’ve heard from him.”

He went on to suggest that after this album drops, it will be crystal clear who the reigning ‘top dog’ in the rap game is. While many are focused on when the album will be released, Rory and Mal are emphasizing the musical quality and lyrical prowess expected from ‘ICEMAN’.

Toronto Explosion Linked to ‘PROJECT BOT’

Adding another layer of intrigue to the ‘ICEMAN’ rollout, a massive controlled explosion recently occurred in Toronto. Officials confirmed the event was part of a production shoot titled ‘PROJECT BOT.’ Fans quickly connected the dots, especially after Drake himself shared activity related to the project on Instagram, speculating it’s for an upcoming ‘ICEMAN’ music video.

The connection between ‘PROJECT BOT’ and the album title is still a mystery. Is ‘BOT’ a nod to the ongoing lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar, or does it represent themes of betrayal and coordinated attacks? Whatever the case, it certainly aligns with Drake’s history of using thematic elements in his rollouts.

    Addressing Release Date Rumors

Rory and Mal also addressed rumors about the release date, specifically calling out music critic Anthony Fantano for claiming the album would drop on April 16th. “I don’t know why he said that,” Mal stated. “I don’t know who his sources are, but his sources are wrong.”

While an official release date hasn’t been confirmed, the podcast hosts’ discussion and the ‘PROJECT BOT’ production shoot suggest that ‘ICEMAN’ is likely arriving soon. The excitement is palpable, and fans are eager to hear what Drake has in store.

  • D4vd Arrested for Murder of Teen

A shocking development has emerged in the music world: platinum-selling artist D4vd has been arrested on suspicion of murdering 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The arrest comes seven months after Los Angeles police discovered the teen’s severely decomposed and dismembered body in the trunk of his impounded Tesla.

    Arrest and Investigation Details

D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was taken into custody on Thursday, April 16, 2026, without bail. Law enforcement sources confirmed that detectives had obtained a probable-cause warrant for his arrest. Video footage reportedly shows heavily armed LAPD officers escorting Burke away from his Hollywood Hills home.

Police announced the arrest on social media, stating that Burke is being held without bail and that the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for filing consideration on Monday. Burke’s defense lawyers, however, have issued a strong statement denying his involvement, asserting that “the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and he was not the cause of her death.”

The Grisly Discovery in the Tesla

The investigation began in September 2025 when Burke was out of state on tour. His dented 2023 Tesla Model Y was towed from the Bird Streets neighborhood of the Hollywood Hills. A tow yard employee alerted police after noticing a foul odor emanating from the vehicle and attracting flies. Upon opening the trunk, detectives discovered Rivas’s decomposed head and torso in a bag, with severed arms and legs found in a second bag underneath.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office stated that the body was “severely decomposed” and had likely been deceased for an “extended period of time.” The cause of death was listed as “deferred” at the time, and authorities had placed a security hold on the autopsy findings, which the ME’s office opposed.

Unsealing Documents and Identifying the Victim

Details about the investigation remained sealed for months. However, sealed documents were eventually made public after Burke’s parents and brother challenged subpoenas in Texas. These documents identified Burke as the “target” of a murder probe. Rivas was identified by friends and family as a missing teen from Lake Elsinore, who had reportedly been dating someone named ‘David’ before her death.

Online photos suggest a resemblance between Rivas and a girl pictured with Burke. The medical examiner noted Rivas had a tattoo on her right index finger that read, “Shhh…,” similar to a tattoo seen on Burke in a Getty Images photo. Rivas’s family declined to speak with reporters, but a friend described her as “sweet and studious.”

    Artist’s Career and Brand Reactions

Burke, who rose to fame with hits like “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” had continued touring and releasing music, including his debut studio album ‘Withered’ in April 2025. However, following Rivas’s identification, fashion brands Crocs and Hollister, who had featured Burke in a campaign, removed his content. Kali Uchis, who featured on Burke’s album, also distanced herself, stating she wasn’t friends with him and was working to remove their song from streaming services.

The District Attorney’s office confirmed they are reviewing the case and will determine whether to file charges. The legal team for David Burke maintains his innocence, emphasizing that he has only been detained on suspicion and will be vigorously defended.
