Rapper OJ Da Juiceman is facing serious charges after an alleged confrontation with a Georgia state trooper on Interstate 20. The incident, which occurred back in January but led to his arrest on March 15, involves accusations of pointing a handgun at a law enforcement officer.
According to the officer’s report, the encounter began when Juiceman allegedly started tailgating and honking at him while the officer was merging into the HOV lane. The rapper then reportedly passed the officer, allegedly brandishing a black handgun before speeding away.
Charges and Legal Defense
Authorities identified the vehicle as a Nissan Altima and later connected it to OJ Da Juiceman, leading to a warrant for his arrest in February. He now faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault on a public safety officer and possession of a firearm during a felony, as well as a misdemeanor charge for pointing a firearm at another person. Several charges related to reckless and aggressive driving are also on the table.
While OJ Da Juiceman himself has not publicly commented on the case, his legal team is already working on his defense. They’ve presented an affidavit from a woman who claims she lent the rental car to another man and doesn’t believe Juiceman was driving at the time of the alleged incident.
Bond Hearing and Past Legal Issues
His attorney argued in court that Juiceman, being a well-known Atlanta musician with deep ties to the community, family, and career in Georgia, is not a flight risk and should be granted bond. It remains unclear whether this request will be successful.
This isn’t the first time the rapper has encountered legal trouble. He was previously arrested in 2024 on drug trafficking and firearm charges after police found a 9mm gun, cocaine, and other substances in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
