  • Chris Brown Denies Shots Fired Near Home

You know how it is – one minute you’re gearing up for a new album and a massive tour, and the next, your name is suddenly linked to drama you had nothing to do with. That’s exactly what happened to Chris Brown recently when reports surfaced about shots being fired near his Los Angeles-area home. But Breezy wasn’t having it and quickly set the record straight.

    Setting the Record Straight

While Chris Brown is busy preparing to drop his new album, also titled ‘Brown,’ and hitting the road for a highly anticipated joint tour with Usher, ‘The R&B Tour Starring Usher Raymond & Chris Brown,’ he found himself in the headlines for the wrong reasons. News broke on Friday, May 1, 2026, about an alleged shooting incident near his Tarzana residence.

According to reports, police were called to the area around 4 p.m. after a woman claimed a man fired at her vehicle. Law enforcement sources indicated that upon arrival, officers spoke with both parties. The man involved reportedly stated the woman refused to leave, leading to an argument that allegedly turned physical when she ran over his foot.

The Arrest and Chris Brown’s Response

The man involved in the altercation was taken into custody and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Interestingly, the weapon used was reportedly a CO2-powered air gun, not a firearm. While police initially assumed Chris Brown might have been home, sources confirmed he was not the individual arrested.

Hours after the news broke, Chris Brown took to his Instagram Story to voice his frustration. He confirmed he was home the entire time but had absolutely no knowledge of any gunshots or police activity. He made it crystal clear that he’s tired of these negative stories being attached to his name.

AT THIS POINT THIS PATTERN IS OLD. I’m looking at the news like the rest of y’all wondering when and where the hell this happened. I been in my crib this whole time. Ain’t heard a gunshot, police car, or anything. DON’T ATTACH MY NAME TO NONE OF THE BULLSH*T. I got sh*t to do! — Chris Brown via Instagram Story

It’s understandable why Chris Brown would want to distance himself from such reports, especially when he’s focused on major career moves. The constant association with unrelated drama can be exhausting, and he’s making it known that he’s ready to move past it.
