A shocking turn of events has unfolded in London, where a former contestant from the reality show The X-Factor is now facing serious murder charges. Gabrielle Harrington, who performed as RielleUK, is accused in the death of popular TikTok influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, known to her fans as KlaudiaGlam.
From Nightclub Altercation to Fatal Collision
The incident occurred in the early hours of April 19th outside the Inca nightclub in Soho. Prosecutors allege that following an argument, Harrington, 29, got into a Mercedes and intentionally drove into a crowd of people on the sidewalk. The collision tragically resulted in the death of 32-year-old Zakrzewska, who passed away on April 25th from her injuries.
Zakrzewska, who had a significant following on Instagram and TikTok for her travel and fashion content, was reportedly dragged by the vehicle. The collision also left a man in his late 50s with life-changing injuries, and two others, including a security guard, required medical attention.
Legal Battle Intensifies: Murder Charges Filed
Initially, Harrington was arrested on charges of dangerous driving and driving under the influence, reportedly nearly twice the legal alcohol limit. However, with Zakrzewska’s death confirmed, the case has escalated dramatically. Prosecutors have now upgraded the charges to murder.
Harrington, a former member of the girl group Miss Dynamix on the 2013 season of The X-Factor, appeared in court on April 21st and was denied bail. She remains in custody awaiting a crucial court appearance at the Old Bailey scheduled for May 19th.
CCTV Evidence and Prosecution’s Allegations
Investigators reportedly have CCTV footage that appears to show Harrington getting back into the Mercedes before accelerating into the group. The severity of the impact, described by prosecutors as dragging the victim, underscores the gravity of the allegations.
