  • 2 Chainz’s Memoir Hits NYT Best-Seller List

Talk about a major accomplishment! Rapper 2 Chainz, known for his distinctive flow and business ventures, has officially hit The New York Times Nonfiction Best Seller list with his debut memoir, ‘The Voice In My Head is God.’ The book debuted at number 10, proving that his story resonates far beyond the music charts.

A Journey of Perseverance and Higher Calling

Released on March 3rd by Black Privilege Publishing, an imprint of Atria Books, the memoir delves into 2 Chainz’s upbringing in College Park, Georgia. It chronicles his journey as an artist, actor, and businessman, highlighting the obstacles he overcame. But 2 Chainz wants readers to know it’s not just about the struggle.

He explained, “I know sometimes when I think of artists and their stories, a lot of it deals with the struggle. We all have struggles, and we all have stories to tell. But this book is not about out-struggling or out-traumatizing the next rapper.” Instead, he aims to share a message of enlightenment, stating, “I’m tapped into a higher source. I’m trying to enlighten. I’m trying to draw some jewels. I’m trying to give you some game.”

    Endorsement from Charlamagne Tha God

Charlamagne Tha God, the founder of Black Privilege Publishing and a well-known media personality, also weighed in on the book’s significance. He described 2 Chainz’s story as one of “perseverance” and emphasized the importance of following divine guidance, noting, “This book will remind you that when GOD tells you to do something, it must be done.”

Adding to the excitement, 2 Chainz is also gearing up to hit the road! He’ll be joining fellow New Orleans artist Lil Wayne on select dates of the “20th Anniversary Tour” celebrating Tha Carter Album Series. The tour kicks off on Tuesday, June 30th, at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, Maine.
