This past Thanksgiving took a dramatic turn for singer Ray J and his wife, Princess Love. Ray J is now speaking out about an incident that led to his arrest, insisting that while he did grab a gun, he never intended to harm anyone, especially not Princess Love.

What Sparked the Thanksgiving Incident?

According to Ray J, the drama unfolded early Thanksgiving morning when Princess Love’s cousin and their husband showed up at his home. Their stated purpose was to collect the couple’s children. Ray J mentioned to TMZ that while they were initially invited to help with dinner preparations, he felt uneasy when the guests entered a private bedroom area close to where his child was.

He described the situation as escalating quickly, with the visitors allegedly acting aggressively and belligerently. Ray J claims they were also intoxicated and refused to leave with the children. It was in this tense atmosphere that Ray J says he decided to grab a handgun.

Conflicting Accounts and Legal Consequences

Ray J maintains that he held the weapon but adamantly denies pointing it at anyone. “I would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love,” he stated. However, law enforcement sources reported that officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance involving a deadly weapon around 4:00 a.m.

During a livestream that reportedly captured part of the confrontation, Ray J’s voice could be heard making threats like, “I’ll shoot the f**k out of you” and “I’ll kill you.” The audio also seemed to include the sounds of children and approaching police sirens. Princess Love, holding their daughter Melody, accused Ray J of pointing the gun at them and labeled him a “woman abuser,” expressing hope that he would seek help instead of continuing to “terrorize” their family.

Following the incident, Ray J was booked on a criminal threat charge and subsequently released on $50,000 bail. The date for his next court appearance is currently unknown.
