It looks like Atlanta rapper Offset is in a tough spot financially. Reports indicate that his outstanding tax bills have ballooned, with his total IRS tax liens now reportedly exceeding a staggering $2.3 million. This isn’t just one large bill; it’s a series of accumulating debts that are putting serious pressure on the Migos member.
A Growing Financial Burden
The latest blow came on October 15th when the IRS filed a new claim against Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus. This new lien adds a hefty $486,426.35 for unpaid 2023 taxes. This filing comes less than a year after his separation from fellow artist Cardi B.
This recent addition follows two previous significant liens. Back in April 2024, the IRS claimed he owed a massive $1,575,266.73 for his 2022 taxes. Before that, in March 2024, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a lien related to a 2021 bill. What started at $167,916 had grown to nearly $292,000 due to accumulated interest, penalties, and collection fees.
Cardi B’s Perspective on Their Marriage
This financial news comes amidst personal life developments. Cardi B recently opened up about her decision to end their marriage, despite having three children together. She expressed feelings of loneliness within the relationship, stating, “I also feel like my marriage, I felt the love dying — from my end, from his end. I was very lonely, because I chose to be lonely.”
According to public records, none of these substantial liens have been released yet. The combined total of these three known liens paints a picture of significant financial strain for the rapper. It remains to be seen how Offset plans to address these mounting debts.
