Streamer Adin Ross is firing back at a new class action lawsuit that names him, Drake, and the online casino Stake. The lawsuit accuses the group of promoting illegal and predatory gambling, but Ross isn’t holding back his opinion on the matter.
Ross’s Fiery Response
During a recent livestream, Ross addressed the legal action head-on, dismissing the allegations as “bullsh*t.” He urged viewers to read the case details themselves, reiterating his strong denial. “Guys, there’s nothing to talk about… I will tell you guys this: Read through the case yourself. It’s f*cking bullsh*t… It’s bullsh*t, it’s f*cking bullsh*t,” he stated emphatically.
Fans quickly weighed in on social media after a clip of Ross’s reaction was shared. While some defended him, suggesting his lawyers would get the case dismissed, others pointed out the addictive nature of gambling and the potential impact of celebrity promotion. “It’s crazy cause gambling is a hell of an addiction and they are promoting it,” one user commented.
The Lawsuit’s Core Allegations
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Missouri, specifically targets Drake and Ross for allegedly “glamorizing” a “highly addictive” product that “threatens the welfare of Missouri residents and especially its young people.” The plaintiffs argue that Drake, acting as Stake’s unofficial mascot, is influencing millions of impressionable fans with his betting habits.
The suit further suggests that Drake and Ross are given “house money” by Stake, implying that reported losses are merely a marketing tactic to attract attention. The plaintiffs are seeking damages and an order for equitable disgorgement against the defendants, alleging that this influencer marketing is specifically aimed at teenagers. Drake himself has not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit.
