Well, it looks like comedian Michael Blackson has had quite the eventful few months! He recently shared some surprising news that he welcomed not one, but two baby boys into his life, and the circumstances are definitely raising eyebrows. It’s a story involving two different women and a significant shift in his personal life.
Two Babies, Two Moms, One Comedian
The 52-year-old actor and comedian took to Instagram to reveal that his life has been blessed with new additions, but not without some significant pain. He explained that just two months after his fiancée, Rada Cheang, gave birth to their son, Mikey, a longtime female friend also welcomed a baby boy named King Kweku. And yes, King Kweku is also Michael’s son.
Mikey arrived on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, while King Kweku was born on August 6, 2025. That’s two sons born within a couple of months of each other, by two different mothers. Talk about a whirlwind!
The Fallout: A Broken Engagement
This double dose of fatherhood has come at a steep personal cost for Blackson. He revealed that the situation led to the loss of his fiancée, Rada. “My two boys has brought so much joy to my life but also caused me to lose my fiancé Rada,” he shared in his post.
Blackson acknowledged the pain he’s caused Rada and apologized for not being more transparent sooner. He expressed his hope for her forgiveness and vowed to be the best father he can be to his new sons. He also mentioned that his 18-year-old twin sons from a previous relationship, and even his own mother, were unaware of these new developments until recently.
A Humorous Take on Fatherhood
Ever the comedian, Blackson couldn’t resist adding a touch of humor to the sensitive situation. He joked about avoiding the paths of Nick Cannon or Elon Musk, both known for their large families. His lighthearted approach included a quip about only dating women who are past their reproductive years or have had hysterectomies.
He even invited his followers to “swipe to meet Kweku,” showcasing his new son. Blackson, who hails from Ghana, has been a prominent figure in comedy for over 25 years, with notable roles in films like “Next Friday” and “Meet the Blacks.”
Rada’s Response
Rada Cheang has since responded to Blackson’s announcement, and she’s not holding back. She called his apology “pathetic” and stated that her focus is entirely on her newborn, not on negativity. It’s clear this situation has caused significant hurt.
