Chris Brown Responds to Kevin McCall’s Royalty Claims

It looks like the drama between Chris Brown and his former collaborator Kevin McCall is heating up again. After Kevin McCall went public with claims that he’s owed $25,000 for songs they worked on together, Chris Brown took to social media with what many are calling a shady response.

A Burned Bridge and a “Broke” Troll

While Breezy didn’t name McCall directly, his post seemed to hit the mark: “Remember this: You can’t walk across a burnt bridge. And you know what’s funnier than a troll. A BROKE ONE.” Ouch. This jab comes right after McCall’s emotional appearance on the “Back On Figg” podcast.

During the podcast, McCall became visibly upset while discussing career setbacks and revealed that he’s currently relying on an EBT card for financial support. This revelation has certainly added fuel to the fire of their long-standing public disagreements.

A History of Exchanges

This isn’t the first time these two have clashed over finances. Back between 2014 and 2016, McCall repeatedly accused Brown of withholding royalties. Chris Brown’s past responses included mocking McCall online, calling him a “bottom feeder,” and even posting a video of new cars with the caption, “I bought this with your money.”

Interestingly, after McCall’s recent EBT card revelation, Young Thug reportedly offered to pay the $25,000 McCall claims he’s owed. It remains to be seen whether McCall has accepted this offer, but it certainly adds another layer to this ongoing saga.
