Sweet Tea Lunceford Pauses Baby Plans for Marriage

For fans of ‘Married to Medicine,’ you know that LaTeasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford has been open about her journey to start a family with her husband, Dr. Greg Lunceford. However, it seems there’s a new chapter unfolding as Sweet Tea reveals they are hitting the pause button on their baby-making plans.

Focusing on the Marriage Foundation

In a recent livestream, Sweet Tea shared that after stepping away from the show’s drama, the couple has decided to put their marriage first. While she’s always wanted children, she feels it’s crucial to build a strong foundation before expanding their family. “I definitely do want a family, but in order to have a family, you’ve got to have a solid foundation,” she explained.

This decision comes after a challenging period, including navigating fertility treatments. Sweet Tea has been candid about her struggles with endometriosis, which has complicated her path to conception. She’s previously undergone two failed IUIs and began IVF around Valentine’s Day 2025.

Past Fertility Challenges

Dr. Greg had initially set a two-year deadline for them to conceive, expressing a desire to explore other avenues if needed. Sweet Tea, however, remains optimistic, emphasizing that her endometriosis doesn’t mean she can’t have children, just that it might present some difficulties. Her determination to become a mother is clear, but her current focus is on strengthening her bond with Dr. Greg.

This break signifies a mature approach to family planning, prioritizing the health and stability of their relationship. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best way to build a future family is by nurturing the present partnership.
