Hoops, Hip-Hop, and Hometown Pride
From the moment fans entered the arena, the atmosphere was electric. The Hawks organization offered an exclusive sneak peek at the 2025-26 roster through on-court drills, scrimmages, and engaging contests, all guided by Head Coach Quin Snyder and his staff. Newcomers showcased their chemistry alongside returning players, creating an exciting preview for the dedicated fanbase filling the stands.
With tickets priced at just five dollars, benefiting the Atlanta Hawks Foundation, the event was more than just a season kickoff; it was a powerful statement of the organization’s commitment to giving back to the community. This focus on purpose and philanthropy added a meaningful layer to the evening’s festivities.
Roscoe Dash Delivers a Nostalgic Performance
After the Hawks’ entertainment team ignited the crowd with T-shirt tosses and energetic chants, Atlanta’s own Roscoe Dash took center stage. The rapper delivered a performance that was both nostalgic and high-energy, instantly transforming the arena into a massive pep rally. Dash treated the audience to his hit songs, including ‘All the Way Turnt Up’ and ‘No Hands,’ with fans enthusiastically singing along.
Following his set, Dash connected with fans, taking photos and creating a memorable hometown moment that perfectly encapsulated the fusion of music, sports, and culture. Reflecting on the experience, Dash shared, ‘It’s been a while since I did anything, for lack of better words, I’m gonna say like pep rally related… So I feel like I’m part of the kickoff.’ He also touched on his recent work with Metro Boomin, noting how it has reignited his creative drive and his perspective on the rise of AI in music, emphasizing that ‘Art is art.’
