Turkey Leg Hut Owner Charged in Kidnapping Cover-Up

Nakia Holmes, the well-known owner of Houston’s popular Turkey Leg Hut restaurant, is now embroiled in a legal battle after being charged with hindering the apprehension of a fugitive. The man in question, Johnathan Saizon, is wanted for allegedly committing a brutal kidnapping and assault against his ex-girlfriend.

Accused of Aiding a Fugitive

According to court documents, Holmes is accused of providing shelter to Saizon at her home while he was a wanted fugitive. The charges state that when police arrived at her residence, Holmes initially denied knowing Saizon or that anyone was inside the home. However, officers reported seeing Saizon flee over the back fence of her property.

Reports indicate that Holmes had left her home earlier and was stopped by officers upon her return. When questioned again about Saizon’s presence, she allegedly maintained her denial. Eventually, Holmes reportedly changed her story, claiming she had picked up Saizon’s mother and that Saizon had mentioned seeing a police car drive by. She then stated she was unsure if he was still at the house or had already left.

The Original Crime

The underlying accusation against Saizon is severe: he is accused of violently attacking his ex-girlfriend with a tire iron and holding her captive for approximately six hours. Disturbingly, Saizon was reportedly already out on bond for previous charges at the time of this alleged attack. He is said to have dropped the victim off at a hospital only after she promised not to contact the police.
