Seafood lovers, rejoice! Red Lobster is shaking things up with a brand-new shrimp deal that’s sure to please your wallet and your taste buds. Say hello to the ‘Ultimate SpendLESS Shrimp’ combo, a new offering that steps in to replace the beloved, but retired, Endless Shrimp promotion.
A New Era for Red Lobster’s Shrimp Deals
Earlier this year, Red Lobster made the tough decision to retire its famously popular Endless Shrimp deal, citing concerns that it was impacting the company’s profits. Now, they’re introducing a new way to enjoy their shrimp favorites without breaking the bank. For just $15.99, you can get a plate featuring three delicious shrimp preparations: Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, and Popcorn Shrimp.
Red Lobster CEO Damola Adamolekun addressed the change, stating, “Since stepping into this role, I’ve gotten questions about Endless Shrimp — ‘Is it coming back?’ ‘What really happened with the promotion?’ ‘How much shrimp is too much shrimp?’ And it’s time we officially turn the tides.”
Focusing on Sustainability and Value
Adamolekun continued, “We’re starting a new chapter here at Red Lobster, one that’s smarter, more sustainable and still packed with the unbeatable value and delicious flavors our guests have come to expect.” This move comes at a significant time for the company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy about a year ago and has since closed several locations.
As Red Lobster works towards rebuilding and strengthening its business, they are also looking to expand their menu offerings. Alongside the new shrimp combo, Seafood Boils are now a permanent addition, and the drink menu has been refreshed with three new fall cocktails: the Caramel Dream, Apple Harvest Punch, and Gold Rush.
This new $15.99 shrimp combo seems to be a strategic move to offer a satisfying and flavorful option that aligns with the company’s goals for a more sustainable and value-driven future. It’s a way to keep customers coming back for the shrimp they love, while managing costs effectively.
