When Jimmy Kimmel directly asked if she was single, J.Lo didn’t miss a beat. ‘Yes! I shoulda done it sooner!’ she declared. She even added, ‘I’ve been doing it all wrong. I’ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.’ Ouch! It sounds like she’s found a new appreciation for her own company.
Kimmel playfully suggested she’d be a great Bachelorette, but Lopez quickly shut that down, exclaiming, ‘Are you crazy?’ She’s clearly focused on enjoying her current state of being, stating she’s ‘not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now’ and calling single life ‘fantastic.’
The Ups and Downs of a Famous Romance
As fans know, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024, ending their two-year marriage. Their relationship has been a rollercoaster, spanning decades. They were first engaged in the early 2000s, famously called off their 2003 wedding, and parted ways in early 2004.
They rekindled their romance in 2021, following Lopez’s split from Alex Rodriguez, and tied the knot in July 2022. While the divorce might be heartbreaking, reports suggest they’re remaining amicable and have been seen hanging out as friends.
Lopez, who also shares twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, emphasized her current contentment. ‘I’ll meet somebody somewhere one day if they’re good enough,’ she told Kimmel, ‘I’m good. I’m good right now where I’m at.’
