Amidst the ongoing speculation surrounding the shooting of NBA Ben 10 in Houston, J Prince Jr., CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, is stepping forward to clear his name. Video footage showing him at the restaurant where the incident occurred has fueled rumors, with some, including fellow artist AllStar JR, accusing Prince Jr. of being involved in the altercation.
Addressing the Accusations
AllStar JR directly called out J Prince Jr. on social media, alleging that Prince Jr. fled the scene and was involved in an assault aimed at stealing his jewelry. JR’s posts claimed Prince Jr. was “running up Kirby” and questioned his toughness under pressure. However, J Prince Jr. quickly responded, pointing out the absurdity of the claims given he had recently undergone ACL surgery and could barely walk.
“How I’m running anywhere and I just had acl surgery [thinking emoji] I barely can walk [face palm emoji],” Prince Jr. posted, directly refuting the accusations of fleeing or engaging in a physical altercation.
Explaining His Presence at the Restaurant
In a detailed Instagram Story post, J Prince Jr. explained that his presence at the restaurant was purely coincidental. He stated he was there alone to celebrate a friend’s birthday dinner and was unaware that AllStar JR would also be present. He emphasized that the attendees were there organically for the birthday celebration.
Prince Jr. also expressed his well wishes for NBA Ben 10 and the other victim, wishing them a speedy recovery. He asserted that he would never harm “a child” and suggested that AllStar JR is someone who looks up to him. He concluded by urging everyone to focus on the truth.
AllStar JR’s Claims
The controversy stems partly from AllStar JR’s own posts, where he seemingly admitted to shooting NBA Ben 10. JR claimed he was the one being assaulted and resorted to using a gun in self-defense. His captions suggested that NBA Ben 10 had taken some of his belongings, leading to the confrontation.
